Review:
This book is just an awesome resource for anyone with pre-teen or teen-age daughters or granddaughters. I couldn't recommend this more highly. Donna Schillinger uses the Proverbs as a basis to teach principles that help our girls learn to remain pure, out of debt and not live regret filled lives. I only wish there had been a resource like this when I was a teen, might have saved me a lot of heart ache.
We all know that sometimes what we tell them goes in one ear and out the other. But give them something or someone else who tells them the same things in a way they can relate to and you'll get completely different results. Schillinger uses the scripture straight out the Proverbs and then uses stories and anecdotes to further cement the ideas. This book can be used as a neat little devotional, or just a great little go-to book for confusing situations. There is also a free ebook download so they can load it on their mp3 players (that way they can listen to the book without it appearing that they are actually reading the book) Whether you actually give this to the teen in your life, or just happen to leave it laying around where they'll 'accidentally' find it and claim it, you can't go wrong with this as another resource to teach your young woman the Biblical ideals and principles which will best lead her into the future.
