When I was offered the opportunity to be a part of this blog tour I jumped on it and immediately called my best friend from high school to scream the news to her over the phone. She was almost as excited as I was. Almost :) See, when we were in high school at good old New Bremen High School we were IN LOVE with Dan Fogelberg and his music. His music was dreamy, he was dreamy...was there any better combination? OK so maybe we were a tad shallow, but then we were 15, didn't mean we loved him any less though.
I was definitely not disappointed in this CD. The songs took me back to the emotions and memories of when I first heard these songs. The songs are just as beautiful and meaningful as they were then, but now I can build some new memories around his music. My friend and I are planning a DF night sometime soon...to laugh and cry and remember all those fun times.
I felt so privileged to gain insight into what inspired the lyrics. Thank you to Fred Migliore and
FM Odyssey Radio, as well as Jean Fogelberg for putting this together for all DF fans everywhere. I'm so thankful I had the chance to participate in this tour, and helping to spread the word about this marvelous CD.
This 2 CD set is such a treat for Fogelberg fans because it's not just the music, it's Dan talking about what inspired the songs, what inspired him. This is so much better than any Tiger Beat magazine from my youth.
