Faith n' Fiction Saturday
7:11 AMWow! I looked back and it's been a while since I participated in Faith n' Fiction. For one reason or another the last couple of Saturdays have not been the greatest. But I'm back in for this week ;)
Faith n' Fiction is a meme sponsored each week by Amy at My Friend Amy's blog
Here's this weeks topic
"The 2009 Christy Award Nominees were recently announced. Today's assignment is to look at the list of nominees and share with us whether or not you have read any of them. If you haven't read that particular novel, have you read anything by that author? Have you read all of the books in any category? What are your favorite books on the list? Are there any books you haven't heard of?"
You'll find the full list of Christy winners on Amy's site.
Unfortunately, I haven't read any of the books listed. I do have quite a few of the authors on my TBR pile. I'm a Christian Fiction newbie, so I'm doing some catch up. I have read quite a few of the Sister Chick books, but not the one that was nominated.
I'm finding that I really enjoy Christian Fiction! Thanks to Amy and a lot of the participants in FnF, I've found some new authors and they are really good! I'm hoping that next year I'll have read a good portion of the books that are nominated!
So let me know what books you've read. Hop over to Amy's site and participate in FnF yourself!
Amy also asked the following question, which I'm going to say a resounding yes to. I haven't participated in a lot of challenges (I'm a blogging newbie also!) but I'm hoping to participate in many more as time goes on.
Amy's question:
"And, I'm just throwing this out there, but I think one year there was a Christy challenge. A reading challenge is basically when you choose books off a pre-set list or around a theme to read within a certain time frame. Does anyone know if this is still going on? If it's not, would anyone be interested in joining in on one? I'd be willing to host it. And lastly, I'm working on Faith 'n Fiction Saturday having our own awards for books!"
Make sure you stop over and leave a comment for Amy as to whether or not it's something you'd be interested in.
