Weekly Link Up Roundup

10:33 AM

Hi everyone! It's time for a weekly round up of the places I've been in blogland this past week.

I was highly entertained when I stopped by Hey Lady Whatcha Readin? and read her reviews on some childrens books. Entitled "Would You Let Your Kids Read These Books?" . I'd bet all of these books would have you and the little ones you read for in giggles. She also did a great meme this week - make sure you stop by and comment to join in the fun!

This week also saw Write For A Reader reviewing a children's book about an animal I've never heard of...make sure you check it out because it's awfully cute.

Wendi at Wendi's Book Corner has started a new meme she wants everyone to know about. It's called Tuesday Thingers. Great idea and a great start! It's open for anyone to join in! She also posted a review of what looks to be a great childrens Christmas book called Cole Family Christmas. It's never too early for ideas for the kids on your list for next Christmas.

Don't forget to stop at BermudaOnion's site for a great review of Little Pink House and make sure you comment because she's giving away a copy of it too!

Amy of My Friend Amy reviewed a really interesting sounding book called Trail of Breadcrumbs: Hunger, Love and the Search for Home by Kim Sunee. This book sounds like something very unique and I'm putting it on my list of must reads. Amy also posted a very thoughtful and insightful Sunday Salon posting about the importance of reading to children. It's a must read for parents and anyone who spends time with young kids.

For those of you who like to add buttons to posts, Beth Fish Reads gives you the step by step that you need to make your own individual and unique buttons.

Probably most of you already utilize sites like Shelf Awareness. For those of you who haven't been there, it's a great resource! And if you just scan the ads for ARC's you are missing out! I've found it a great resource for cold requests. I make about 3 col requests a day and usually at least one of those has a positive answer for me.

I'm always looking for ways to improve my blog, as most of you are. I ran across this little gem of a site this week about improving your RSS feed. It's at 134U.com.

Well, that's a look at a few of the places I've traveled this week in the blogosphere. Let me know if it's been a help to you!

Every year we lose more people to AIDS. It hasn't disappeared and it's not going away anytime soon. I urge you to seek out and support your local AIDS Organizations. Encourage everyone you know to practice safe sex and to get tested once a year. Even if you don't think you are at risk, get tested. I didn't think I was at risk either, and I almost died before I was diagnosed.
