Ok so it's taken me a while to post about the trip and the wedding. Mostly I've been in recovery mode. To the left you see the new Mr. & Mrs. Matthew Dennings. Aren't they a gorgeous couple?!

The trip to California was unbelievable. My DIL's family was so incredibly welcoming and they made the trip spectacular for us.

We got up to go to the airport at 5 am(EST) on 7/30 and arrived at our hotel at approximate 9:30 PM (PT) and then the party came to my room! Matt and Lauren and her mom and stepfather came to the hotel to greet us all with a couple of bottles of wine. Needless to say at that point we all needed something!

The picture are the right is (L-R) my DIL Rachel and son Jon, my nephew Alex and my mom on our arrival in CA.

On Friday we attended a tea/shower for Lauren hosted by her aunts. It was held at Grandlunds in Yucaipa, CA. I'd highly recommend a stop there if you are in the area. It was a beautiful little place. Here's a pic of everyone at the tea. It was just beautiful and was a wonderful time.

Friday night was the rehearsal dinner held at her mom and stepfather's house. They have worked overtime getting their backyard ready for this and it was beautiful. I got to go swimming in the pool in the afternoon before the dinner. Before dinner we were treated to pomegranate and mango margaritas, and dinner was catered authentic Mexican food.
