Description (Publisher Website)
Max Lucado's first book that journeys from the birth of Christ to His resurrection.
Drawing from his classic writing on Jesus combined with new reflections and breathtaking art, Max Lucado again opens our eyes—and hearts—to the life and work of the Savior in a way that will change lives forever. “Jesus was, at once, common and not; alternately normal and heroic. One minute blending in with the domino players in the park, the next commanding the hell out of madmen, disease out of the dying, and death out of the dead.” Who was this man who spoke as easily with kids and fishermen as widows and waves? It is the question that has echoed down through the centuries to us today, and here is a visually stunning book that answers aspects of that question.
Review: This book is an absolutely beautiful gift book by best selling author Max Lucado, telling the story of Jesus' life. The artwork and photography is breathtaking! The book is laid out with gorgeous word art. Lucado has created a book that should be on everyone's coffee table. Not only does this beautiful book describe the life and works of Jesus Christ, it also does it in a very lyrical form further enhanced by the art and the word art. This hard back book comes in a cardboard gift sleeve. The book is divided in 5 sections - the birth, mission, death, resurrection, and legacy of Jesus Christ. The stories about Jesus are told in language that is easily understood and usually aren't any more than 3 pages long. There are poems interspersed with the stories.
On every page, Lucado conveys the love God has for each of us. The pages of this book teach teh lessons of Love, forgiveness, and redemption. I know I've already said this, but this is a beautiful book, with an etched cover and comes in the cardboard slot to protect it.
This would make a perfect wedding gift, or housewarming gift. This book would be the perfect gift for so many occasions.
