Bloggiesta wrap up
1:26 PMWell the first annual Bloggiesta is over...thanks to Maw Books for coming up with this one. This was a great idea. I learned quite a few new things and got some great ideas for things to work on. I visited some great new blogs and met some great new people on twitter over the weekend.
One thing I got done that helped was getting meta tags done...raised my web grade to 97! WooHoo!
I'm working on an elevator pitch as well as a review guidelines page. Lots of idea, just not enough time over the weekend ;)
Here's my stats:
I put in about 12 hours total with writing up reviews and working on tweaking things.
I have 8 reviews done up for the future.
I lost count of how many blogs I visited and posted on.
I made a blogging buddy.
For me this weekend was about more than participating and keeping track. I've been down the last month and a half after surgery and this was the push that I needed to get back into my blog and get some housekeeping done. I met some new blogging friends and found some new blogs to inspire me. I appreciated this...working together and helping each other out is what this community is about. I think that was so much more important to me this weekend than anything else. Helping each other improve our blogs helps the entire book blogging community - as we improve so do our reviews, and as authors and publishing houses see us taking it this seriously they take us more seriously.
Hurray for us!
