This is another book in the Carter House Girls series, Melody Carlson's chick lit series for young adults. When you mix teenage girls, a retired 60's fashion icon and a Victorian era boarding home you have the basics for fun. Add in some boys, normal high school angst, and dating and you have the Carter House Girls.

In this book, it starts with the new year and the girls preparing to be models during New York Fashion Week. There is pressure from Mrs. Carter, the stress of schoo, boys and dating and competing against one another for slots modelling. It all adds up to another great book. This book isn't just fluff though, it handles some very tough issues like alcoholism and rehab, abuse, and eating disorders also.

Every year we lose more people to AIDS. It hasn't disappeared and it's not going away anytime soon. I urge you to seek out and support your local AIDS Organizations. Encourage everyone you know to practice safe sex and to get tested once a year. Even if you don't think you are at risk, get tested. I didn't think I was at risk either, and I almost died before I was diagnosed.
